Affiliate Marketing

Instagram is about to change how affiliate sales get made. 🤔

Meta is rolling out affiliate links inside Reels and the direction is clear. The highest-reach format on the platform is getting direct monetization. No rev-share or "link in bio" detour.

But most brands aren't set up to see what's working when scale hits. Which ambassadors drove the sale? Which codes leaked to coupon sites? Which affiliates went quiet after month one?

Full-funnel attribution that tracks the whole journey. A fraud engine that catches code leakage before it hits your payouts. And an ambassador experience with real-time earnings and milestones that keeps your best people posting.

Check if your grid loses shoppers on mobile

That's LUSH's collection page. Four columns, tiles at different heights, nothing lining up in a clean row.

It looks intentional… and it is.

Pull up your own store on your phone and scroll your collection page. Watch where your eye goes. Most standard grids push you left to right across each row before dropping down:

A, B, then

C, D, then

E, F.

That's row scanning, and on mobile it's a problem.

Eye tracking research shows people don't naturally read in rows on a small screen. The gaze drops diagonally — top item, diagonal jump, next item, scroll. When your grid forces a row pattern instead, shoppers skip products without noticing, especially when scrolling fast.

A uniform grid is predictable. Predictable means the brain goes on autopilot, which means faster scrolling and less time actually looking at what you sell.

LUSH's staggered layout breaks that. Tiles offset at different heights nudge the eye into a zig-zag path that matches how people actually scan on mobile. The slight irregularity also slows the scroll just enough to keep attention without frustrating anyone.

This alone won't fix a conversion problem. But if your mobile bounce rate is high and your collection page looks like a spreadsheet, it's worth a test.

Action Summary:

  • Open your collection page on mobile and screenshot the first scroll

  • Trace where your eye actually moves — row by row, or diagonal?

  • If it's row-based, look for staggered grid options in your theme or app store

  • A/B test staggered vs. even grid on your highest-traffic collection page

Claude Opus 4.7 or ChatGPT 5.5

Sometime in January, I switched from ChatGPT to Claude.

Three reasons.

Folders. Connectors. Skills.

When these three work together, AI stops being an assistant. It becomes an employee. One that knows your brand before you type, connects to your tools, and runs the same process every time without re-explaining anything.

We built four issues around this. The messages came in. Founders who set it up said the same thing: they couldn't believe what they'd been leaving on the table.

Then last week, in three days, ChatGPT shipped three updates.

GPT-5.5. Now going head to head with Claude Opus 4.7 on benchmarks.

Images 2.0. The best AI image model on the planet. Nothing close.

Google Sheets. ChatGPT now lives inside your spreadsheet.

GPT-5.5 wins 7 out of 13 benchmarks.

ChatGPT now produces production-ready ads, website banners, and emails with text that actually renders correctly.

It can do some really cool things. Here are some images i got from their website that were generated using Images 2.0

Just look at the versatility.

ChatGPT in Excel is powerful.

Especially for the work most ecommerce founders avoid because it takes too long.

Analyze your sales data. Build a cash flow forecast. Break down your balance sheet. Audit your P&L. All in plain English. Inside the spreadsheet.

You don't export. You don't upload. You just ask.

To install it in excel -

To install it in sheets -

So if ChatGPT is winning benchmarks, better at images, and now lives inside your spreadsheet, you might be thinking.

Should I Switch to ChatGPT?

To answer that, let me explain to you how i wrote this post.
