How the first image of your product impacts shopper decisions

The first image of your product is critical.

It decides if the visitor:

- stays on the page

- uses your image gallery

- how they feel about the product

In this example, the current version has a packaging shot.

With the product creatively displayed.

Since this is a make-up product (lip oil to be specific), a shopper should know how this will look like on them.

And this should reflect in the first image.

Ad Network

Have you tested ads on AppLovin?

AppLovin has quietly become one of the fastest-growing ad networks outside of Meta and Google.

It started as a mobile gaming ad platform, but its AI-driven targeting is now attracting eCommerce brands looking for cheaper customer acquisition.

Recently, Sean Frank (who runs Ridge Wallet) shared a tweet about testing AppLovin as a new growth channel.

Sean is known for publicly sharing the real numbers behind scaling DTC brands, so when he experiments with a new ad network, it usually gets founders’ attention.

Takeaway for founders:

If your Meta CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) is rising or you feel like you’ve exhausted your niche, it might be worth experimenting with AppLovin as an additional ad network.

AI Tools

Claude Cowork: The AI tool ecom brands can't ignore

Ash Melwani is the founder of Obvi (a DTC brand reportedly doing ~$400M in revenue). He posted this about Claude Cowork: “This is what I was waiting for.”

That’s an important signal.

If a brand at that scale is excited about AI operators, it tells you where things are going.

For early-stage founders, solo operators, or lean eCommerce teams, tools like this aren’t a nice-to-have, they’re quickly becoming non-negotiable.

It’s how small teams will keep up with brands that have entire marketing and ops departments.

Claude Cowork is different from most AI tools you’ve experienced so far. It moves AI from being just a chat assistant to something closer to an autonomous operator, capable of running tasks and workflows for you.

Are you already using AI in your daily workflows? Hit reply and tell us how.
