Influencer Marketing

252 Micro-Influencers. No Cash. 10× Sales.

Naked Sunday was stuck: low velocity, buried in Amazon search, barely any reviews. They activated 252 micro-influencers through Stack Influence — creators who actually purchased the product on Amazon, tried it, and posted authentic UGC. No cash fees. Just product.

4 months later: 10× monthly sales, jumped 25,000 spots in Beauty & Personal Care rankings, 1.4M social impressions, and 57 organic product testimonials.

The model is simple — influencers buy your product with their own Amazon accounts, generating real purchase velocity that the algorithm rewards. You keep the UGC rights, the ranking boost, and the review momentum. Brands like Magic Spoon, Unilever, and MaryRuth Organics use it to hold page-1 positions.

TODAY'S PLAYBOOK

Your 2.0x ROAS Is Lying to You

Here's the math most founders never run.

Case A is what Ads Manager shows you. Revenue divided by ad spend. $50 / $25 = 2.0x ROAS.

Looks healthy. Your agency sends this number in their weekly report. Everyone celebrates.

Case B subtracts your product cost. Down to 1.40x.

Case C adds shipping and fulfillment. 1.12x.

Case D adds payment processing and platform fees. 0.98x. You just crossed below breakeven.

Case E adds operations. Team, tools, software. 0.78x ROAS. You are losing $5.50 on every order. And you haven't paid taxes yet.

The agency will tell you ROAS is healthy. Your bank account knows otherwise.

The fix before you touch your ads:

Stop optimizing for ROAS. Start tracking GPT — Gross Profit per Transaction. It's a dollar number, not a ratio. Revenue minus actual CPA. If that number is positive, you have a business. If it's negative, no creative change fixes it.

Under $50 AOV? Bundle or raise prices. You cannot win the Meta auction profitably at that margin threshold.
Profitable economics first. Then run ads.

Action Summary:

  • Pull your last 30 days of Meta spend. Calculate actual CPA including COGS, fulfillment, payment processing, and ops cost.

  • If your true margin is negative, raising ad spend makes it worse. Fix AOV or contribution margin first.

  • Start tracking Gross Profit per Transaction alongside ROAS. One number tells you if you have a business. The other tells you if you can scale.
