Retention Recipe
Don’t show the same pop-up to everyone
You get someone's email through your pop-up.
They leave. They come back two weeks later.
You show them... the same email pop-up again? That’s annoying and pointless.
Meanwhile, you still don’t have their phone number, which is one of the fastest ways to drive sales.
What Obvi is doing differently
Instead of asking for the same thing again
They don’t repeat the email pop-up
They ask for just your phone number.

The ask feels smaller: One field instead of two.
They only show it at smart moments
Not during checkout.
Not when you’re logging in.
Only when you’re casually browsing.

Why this matters
They already have ~500,000 emails
Those same people are much more likely to give a phone number than a random visitor
Every phone number = another direct way to:
Send reminders
Promote launches
Recover abandoned carts
Drive repeat purchases

Copy That Converts
Stop asking people to sign up
Look at this pop-up from Circles(.)Life:

Compare this to the standard: "Sign up for our newsletter!"
Both want your email. Which one would you rather give it to?
Probably the first one right?
Why?
"Sign up for our newsletter!" looks like every other pop-up and feels like a request.
While the other sparks curiosity and makes opting in feel like discovering something, not subscribing to marketing.
How to swap “sign up” copy for curiosity-driven copy:
Step 1: Delete all action words
Remove anything that sounds like a request:
Subscribe
Join our list
Get updates
Newsletter
Step 2: Lead with a tease, not an explanation
Instead of explaining what they’ll receive, hint at something interesting
Examples:
“Most people miss this when choosing a phone plan.”
“There’s a smarter way to save on your next upgrade.”
“This is why most subscribers overpay.”
Step 3: Make the opt-in feel like the next step
The button doesn’t need to say Subscribe.
Instead, use:
“Show me”
“Tell me more”
“Reveal it”
“Let me see”
Step 4: Test it side by side
Don’t replace your old pop-up forever.
A/B test your existing pop-up with this approach.

How Agent Skills 10x AI output by giving it expert knowledge
AI output generally sucks.
Not because AI is bad. Because of how we use it.
People open a new chat, type a prompt, and then complain about getting generic output. They try again. Still generic. They give up.
Two things are missing.
Context. AI knows nothing about you. Your brand. Your tone. Your business.
Expertise. AI thinks like a generalist. Not a CRO expert. Not a copywriter. Not a strategist.
We fixed context with AI Employees.
Use Projects instead of chats. Upload your brand manual, your SOPs, your examples.
AI finally knows your business.
Output improved significantly. The outputs we got were more on brand. They sounded like us.
But we hit a ceiling.
AI had context. It still thought like a generalist.
Like hiring someone smart with zero experience. They have your docs. They don't know what to do with them.
Agent Skills fixes that.
So what are Agent Skills?
Agent Skills are expert knowledge packaged in a text file. Frameworks. Checklists. Playbooks. Methodologies. The exact thinking process a specialist uses to solve a problem.
Think of it this way. A CRO expert didn't become an expert overnight. They learned the 5-second clarity test. They figured out where trust signals actually work. They discovered why checkouts leak conversions. They built a 47-point audit over 10 years of trial and error.
An Agent Skill captures all of that. In a file you can paste into your AI.
Your AI Employee had your context but thought like a generalist. Add a skill and now it thinks like a specialist.
Today we're sharing 25 skills we've been using:

AI knows which expert to be.
AI Employees = your context.
