Here are 12 changes you can make to increase the conversion rate of your skincare PDP

1. Add a free shipping bar above the logo bar.
This creates urgency + reduces hesitation early. Especially useful to increase the average order value.
2. Show concern tags above the product title.
Badges like “Sunburn” and “Dryness” tell users exactly who this product is for, without needing to scroll.
3. Place review count + star rating above the price.
Make the review count clickable. Small fix, but increases engagement and time on page.
4. Overlay a “#1 Seller” badge on the image.
Quick trust cue, place it where it’s seen first (like top left of the image).
5. Display any awards received.
This creates instant legitimacy, especially for first-time shoppers.
6. Add benefit badges.
Like “Paraben Free” and “Sulfate Free”. These help shoppers with very specific purchase preferences.
7. Expand the image gallery + add thumbnails.
This includes model images, how to use, ingredients, and benefits. Educational content makes the gallery a one-stop place to learn about the product.
8. Replace long paragraphs with tight bullets.
Keep 3 bullet points here. Focus on specific outcomes such as: “Soothes sunburn”, “Heals scars”, “Boosts elasticity”.
9. Place service USPs below CTA.
“Free Shipping over $40” + “30-Day Free Returns” directly reduce friction right before checkout.
11. Add a visual ‘Why It Works’ section.
Use icons + ingredients. Helps build trust without needing to read every line.
12. Cross-sell routine items with reviews.
Add a “Frequently Bought Together” section with product cards, ratings, and add-to-cart buttons, right at the bottom.
These are simple changes you can make to increase add to carts, build trust in products, and increase conversions.
