Good morning.
As founders, we often try to sell to everyone. Then end up selling to no one.
Yes. You have heard that a million times.
But look at your landing page and ask one question:
Who would land here and think, “Damn. This product was made for me”?
If nobody comes to mind, today’s Grüns breakdown is worth reading.
Today:
We break down the funnel behind Grüns’ $1.2 billion exit. Show you how to edit images in ChatGPT. Share the latest ecommerce news. And give you one Growth Rep to complete today.
Today’s Deep Dive
The Funnel Behind Grüns’ $1.2 Billion Exit
Grüns launched in 2023.
Three years later, Unilever agreed to acquire it for $1.2 billion.
The company sells one core product. A daily nutrition gummy.
But Grüns does not sell it through one generic funnel.
It builds a specific funnel for every customer persona.
The ad speaks to one person
Take its GLP-1 funnel.
It names the customer. Then it names the problem.

The page continues the same conversation
Click the ad and the landing page opens with:

The proof matches the customer
It shows results from GLP-1 users:

The benefits for people on GLP-1

Even the reviews come from people using GLP-1s.

The customer keeps seeing people like them.
The offer makes the subscription easy to choose
The funnel ends with a clear choice:
Pay $66.65 once
Subscribe for $29.99
And receive free shipping, free gifts and a 30-day guarantee

The page also reframes $29.99 as $1.07 a day.
Which makes the decision feel smaller.
Grüns repeats the system across every audience
We reviewed 300 of its top ads.
Those ads sent customers to 53 different URLs. Only three led to a standard product page.
Grüns had separate funnels for:
GLP-1 users
Women in perimenopause
Men experiencing hair loss
And men trying to improve fertility
Most pages shared the same underlying structure and design.
Even the offer doesn’t change.

3 Different pages built with the same wireframe
Grüns only changed the doorway.
Why this work:
Each funnel helps Grüns win the customer and the algorithm.
The customer feels understood: Someone on a GLP-1 sees their exact problem reflected across the ad, page and proof. The product feels made for them.
The algorithm gets a clear signal: Specific creative helps Meta identify who the ad is relevant to and find more people like them.
Grüns makes the journey feel personal while making the targeting smarter.
Build one funnel for each customer persona
List the three distinct customer personas.
For each persona:
Write an ad that names the person and their problem.
Continue that exact message on the landing page.
Add proof from customers experiencing the same problem.
Present one offer that makes buying feel easy.
One product can serve several audiences.
Each audience deserves its own conversation.

How to Edit Images Without a Designer
ChatGPT just upgraded its image editor and it is absolutely mind blowing.
You can now:
Remove unwanted objects with Magic Eraser
Remove backgrounds from existing images
Generate real transparent PNGs
And change aspect ratios using generative fill
It is now faster to edit images on your own then writing a brief to your designer.
Resizing used to break the creative
Earlier image models often regenerated the entire image during an edit.
Products changed. Text became distorted. Logos disappeared. Faces shifted.
You asked for a new size and received a different ad.
The new editor retains the important elements. Then it creates new space around them.
We uploaded this Grüns ad:

Then resized it into a landscape ad:

Each element in the image has stayed intact.
ChatGPT generated the missing space around them.
One image can become an entire creative kit
We repeated the test with this IM8 ad because it includes a person.
Original Ad by IM8

ChatGPT Generated

Earlier models would regenerate the face during resizing. The person often looked noticeably different.
The new editor preserved her face, product and copy while rebuilding the image around them.
We the turned it into a landscape:

We also removed the background and exported the creative as a transparent PNG:

You can now reuse the same approved creative across ads, emails and landing pages without rebuilding it.
This update changes how quickly small teams can produce and edit creative.

1. The Negative Hook
It sounds like a warning. That interrupts the scroll before turning every “regret” into a reason to buy.
🎯 Today’s Growth Rep: Build One Customer Funnel
Choose one specific customer and problem your product solves for them.
Build a simple funnel around it:
Write an ad that names the customer and problem.
Match the landing-page headline to that message.
Add proof from customers with the same problem.
Present one clear offer.
