Happy September, reader🍂🍁

I spent the weekend reviewing our recent newsletters.

Then I asked myself one question:

What would I honestly rate DTC Daily?

My answer was 6/10.

So I looked back at my journey building a DTC brand. I asked what would have actually helped me build and scale a better business.

Then I rebuilt DTC Daily around that answer.

Expect Deeper breakdowns. Practical guides. Ideas worth stealing. Latest e-commerce news. And one daily rep you can complete today to move the business forward.

This is the first issue in the new format.

Let me know what you think.

Today:

We break down the offer that added £200,000 a week to Valentte’s sales, show you how to build a dashboard that finds where your growth is leaking, and share the latest news and ideas worth stealing.

Today’s Deep Dive

The offer that added £200,000 a week to Valentte’s sales

I recenetly interview Luke Pearce for the DTC Daily Podcast

When I asked Luke what changed the trajectory of Valentte. He pointed to Alex Hormozi’s book, $100M Offers: How to Make Offers So Good People Feel Stupid Saying No

“For us it was a colossal unlock. I read it myself. Then I got my team to read it. And I tasked them with creating a hundred-million-dollar offer.”

The team launched the offer.

Luke says Valentte’s sales rose by £200,000 a week overnight.

That was the turning point.

So what is an offer?

An offer is not simply a discount or a bundle.

It is the complete deal presented to a customer.

Hormozi’s Value Equation explains how one works:

  1. Dream outcome: How will this improve my life?

  2. Perceived likelihood of achievement: How likely is this to happen?

  3. Time delay: How long will this take?

  4. Effort & sacrifice: How much work will this take?

Valentte’s Grand Slam Offer

They built their Grand Slam Offer backwards from a target order value of roughly £40.

Dream Outcome
A beautifully scented home, with diffusers that last up to 12 weeks and claim to be up to eight times stronger.

Perceived Likelihood
A 4.9 rating, more than 350,000 happy customers and verified reviews make customers more confident that the product will deliver the promised result.

Time Delay
Fast delivery reduces how long customers must wait to receive the product and experience the outcome.

Effort and Sacrifice
Customers can mix and match their scents, use flexible payment options and rely on a 90-day guarantee. The £56.97 price anchor, £21 saving and £11.99 per-unit price also make the financial sacrifice feel smaller.

The customer saves £21. Valentte increases its order value by £16.98.

The bundle structures the deal. The offer makes it a no brainer.

Build your Grand Slam Offer backwards

Start with the economics. Then strengthen the value:

  • What order value does your business need?

  • Which product or bundle gets you there?

  • What outcome is the customer buying?

  • What proof makes that outcome believable?

  • What delay, effort or risk can you remove?

These questions move from the required order value to the complete offer.

The How-To

How to build a dashboard that shows exactly where your growth is leaking

Your customer journey starts with an ad and ends with a purchase.

The data behind that journey sits across Meta Ads. Google Ads. Google Analytics. And Shopify.

No platform shows the full journey.

We used ChatGPT Sites to build one dashboard that does.

It shows where customers drop off. Which channels convert. And what each new customer costs.

It then ranks the biggest leaks and tells your team where to investigate.

Find the complete workflow at the bottom of this newsletter under AI Launch Codes. It includes the prompt and all four data connections.

A shopper reads 'No Pocket' in the specs. The photo shows the model's hand in one. She buys, then returns it.

On Socials

Raphael puts it perfectly: a discount can support an offer. But when it becomes the offer, you train customers to wait and slowly destroy your pricing power.

Ideas Worth Stealing

Make a big price feel small

Break the price into a daily cost. Then compare it with something customers already buy without thinking.

It reframes a big price as a tiny daily cost, then contrasts it with a "small" daily habit to show how they are often quietly more expensive than real tools.

🎙️ Scaling beverage brands the right way

Monte Ammons, founder of Liquid Sherpas, joined the DTC Daily podcast to explain why beverage brands that scale too fast often burn cash and stock they can't sell.

He covers building a product blueprint before development, running small pilots before big production, and staying geographically focused instead of expanding too soon.
