Scale Meta ads in 3 steps

Whitelisting (aka Creator Licensing)
Whitelisting lets a brand run paid ads from a creator’s social handle, using real creator content but controlled via the brand’s Ad Manager. It looks organic but runs like paid media.
It allows brands to tweak copy, add CTAs, target custom/lookalike audiences, and even launch "dark posts" that don’t appear on the creator’s public feed.
Partnership Ads (Meta’s branded content ads rebranded)
Meta officially dropped “Branded Content Ads” and now calls them Partnership Ads.
These are functionally identical to whitelisted creator ads on Meta. It’s the same mechanics: ads originate from the creator’s handle, but brands manage them.
So yes: Partnership Ads = Whitelisted Ads on Meta platforms.
Meta simply updated the name and expanded permissions over time. No magical differences, just rebranding and better tooling.
