The smarter way to pay international suppliers and keep cash

Most DTC brands pay international suppliers the same way: bank wire or Wise. Money out, supplier paid, done.

But that approach costs you in two ways:

  1. Zero rewards - You're spending $30K, $50K, $100K+ monthly and earning nothing back

  2. Immediate cash out - No float, no flexibility, cash gone the second you hit send, and everybody loves dealing with the bank, right?

There's a better way now, with a bill pay platform called Melio. 🤝

Pay your suppliers by card—even if they don't accept cards—and they still receive funds in their local currency within 1-2 days. You earn normal card rewards (1.5-2% back) and keep cash in your account for 30-45 days.

Real numbers: $75K monthly spend at 2% = $18K annually in rewards you're currently not collecting. Isn’t it better to finance your next vacation by paying business expenses?

For brands running on thin margins, that's real money. Add in the working capital benefit of 45-day float, and it's a no-brainer.

Try it: Make your first international payment of $1,000+ by card in your vendor’s local currency, get a $500 gift card. Limited to first 100 users, ends March 31.

Ad Vault

Why BlackGold’s timeline-based ad outperforms instant-result claims

I saw this ad for BlackGold.

It’s a masterclass in selling without selling.

The hook is “Day 1 vs Day 100.”

Most supplement ads promise instant results.
This one sells time.

“Day 1: better focus” breaks the hype pattern.
“Day 100: better sleep, less brain fog” feels slow and inevitable.

Why this works

This honest and believable ad blends into the feed while standing out.

This looks like:

→ An educational post

→ A personal journey

→ A science-backed breakdown

NOT like a hype ad or miracle claim

How to apply this to your brand
1. Write down the first honest signal your customer would notice

Ask yourself: “If someone used this for a few days, what would they notice that feels subtle but real?”

Examples:

  • Supplement → “I didn’t crash at 3pm”

  • Skincare → “My skin feels calmer, not irritated”

  • Productivity tool → “I finished one task without getting distracted”

    That’s your Day 1.

2. Write down the boring but meaningful improvement

Ask: “If someone stuck with this for weeks, what would feel easier in their life?”

Examples:

  • “I’m sleeping through the night”

  • “I’m more consistent without forcing it”

That’s your Day 60–90.

3. Turn those two points into a timeline

Example:

  • Day 1: no afternoon crash

  • Day 30: steady energy most days

  • Day 90: energy feels predictable

Brands That Stick

Liquid Death isn't selling water, they're selling rebellion

Liquid Death is worth $1.4B. They sell water.

Not alkaline water. Not mineral water with a unique pH.

Just water.

But they don't position it as "better hydration."

They position it as the vehicle for being rebellious.

Target customer: Gen Z who grabs Monster or Red Bull because it feels edgy. Liquid Death says "stay rebellious, skip the sugar crash."

The skull can, death metal aesthetic, and "Murder Your Thirst" tagline all signal: this is how rebellious people hydrate.

They're the #2 most followed beverage brand globally on social. Not because the water is different. Because the identity it represents is clear.

How you can use this:

Replace this: “better [product]”
With this: “for people who want to be ____.”

  • Skincare → Vehicle to confidence (not "better ingredients")

  • Protein powder → Vehicle to peak performance (not "more grams of protein")

  • Minimalist basics → Vehicle to intentional living (not "better t-shirts")

Viral Trend You Can Use

Turn any viral video into a reusable script in seconds

You see a viral video and think, “I should do that.”

Then you realize:

  • You can’t figure out the exact hook that made people stop scrolling.

  • You can’t break down the structure behind the video.

You rewrite it from scratch and strip out what made it work.

This AI tool helps you fix that in seconds.

It breaks the video down frame by frame and provides you with a template you can easily copy.
